Chapter 1145: The Strongest Killer

For some reason which Sheyan could not quite figure out, when he saw the image showing the mothership dropping something down, his heart felt inexplicably heavy, like it was being pressed down by a large stone. The image of the cylindrical object refused to leave his mind.

Sheyan had no time to waste explaining things to Cyborg No. 1. He quickly strode out.

As soon as he saw the group of contestants, he said with an unhappy expression, “Something’s gone wrong with the spaceship and it can’t be flown anymore! This must be your doing, Paul!”

The last step in Sheyan’s plan – isolate Paul from everyone else!

Sheyan was a very vengeful person. When Paul tried to split the team by secretly buying out two of the contestants, it truly gave Sheyan an unexpected blow. The blow was not enough to cause him actual damage, but it did undermine the subsequent series of plans he had in mind.

How could Sheyan just let it pass with a smile? He was not such a person. There was no such person in the nightmare realms.

So Sheyan, using his capacity as an MT, worked closely with Aldaris and Ronnie to force Paul to concede, but they did not push too hard because they wished to slowly force Paul into a corner that had no way out! Under such pressure, Paul would surely grasp any opportunity that came his way and take major risks to turn the situation around, causing him to make mistakes! Sheyan would seize his errors and put him to death!

As for the Predator spaceship being damaged, of course Sheyan already had a plan to deal with that. He did not care in the slightest.

As soon as Sheyan started questioning Paul, it caused a commotion in the group. All the aggro was naturally focused towards Paul.

Paul replied coldly, “If I said I didn’t do it, would any of you believe me?”

“You’re the only one with motive, because this way, you don’t have to risk dying! You can rely on your own specially modified Wasp to escape, with a 100% chance of survival!” exclaimed Sheyan.

A mysterious smile suddenly crept onto Paul’s face.

“Okay, I did it. So what?”

Sheyan stared at him and uttered slowly, “It’s not that hard to kill you, you know.”

Sheyan’s tone was calm, but there was a lingering eeriness in his words.

“You? Kill me? Without the help of your two loyal dogs, would you dare say those words to my face?” Paul challenged mockingly.

“Did you forget that I helped you defeat your Predator opponent after I defeated Elite Predator Veron first? Killing you is not that much more difficult for me than killing a dog,” replied Sheyan flatly.

Everyone had witnessed Sheyan’s brilliant performance so far in this mission. This was largely the reason why Dardanian and Pokan were slowly starting to return to Sheyan’s side. He was an MT with attack so powerful that he could kill the leader of an elite squad of Predators by himself!

When they thought of this, they could not help recalling another thing – Ronnie was now completely on Sheyan’s side, and so was Aldaris! How strong was the attacking power of the three men combined! If the other side started attacking, could they withstand such firepower?

But Paul merely sneered at Sheyan’s threat.

“I really want to stay here and show you what real power is, but unfortunately, I have something to take care of. I don’t have the time to waste on….”

Before Paul had even finished his sentence, a black light flashed behind him, followed by the crisp sound of metal colliding. Paul stood rooted in place while his forehead started cracking, exposing the complex mechanical structure inside.

God knows when Ronnie had snuck behind Paul and stabbed him in the back!

However, this Paul turned out to be an Iron Golem in disguise!

Sheyan’s pupils contracted slightly. He could not believe Paul had managed to trick him once again! He did not even know when Paul had replaced himself with a fake! However, even if Paul had run away, everything was still under Sheyan’s control. The plan was still on track.

He was just about to say something with a solemn face when a string of loud noises suddenly came from far in the sky, as if a series of thunder were bellowing in the horizon.

Everyone looked up simultaneously and saw a huge meteor in the sky, like a giant burning charcoal. It turned from small to big and from far to near, hurtling straight towards them at an alarming speed! The thunder-like sound was made because the object was moving so fast that it caused sonic booms.

The object streaked across the top of their heads and landed in the grassland at a thirty-degree angle, two or three kilometers away from them. The soil and sand it stirred up reached nearly 100 meters into the sky, almost covering the sun. A horrifying hole about the size of a basketball court appeared at its landing spot. One could imagine how violent the impact was.

Sheyan abruptly recalled the image he saw in the Predator ship. His heart tightened, and he immediately shouted, “This is probably the final killer move the Predator sent to deal with us! Be careful!”

The rest of the team knew that Sheyan was not someone who would be alarmed easily, so when they saw how vigilant he looked, they took a deep breath and prepared themselves to face the worst. They followed behind Sheyan and moved towards the landing site. The air was still filled with a scorching heat, and together with the smell of the soil melting underneath, it formed an ominous atmosphere.

The group reached the side of the pit and found that although most of its bottom part was buried by the collapsed soil, a dark ochre object was still visible. Pokan pointed at the spot with his magic wand, and the soil covering the object immediately split to two sides like curtains, revealing a very strange thing.

The overall shape of the object looked like a capsule that was enlarged countless times. It was about five meters long and two meters wide. The temperature on its surface was evidently still extremely high from the violent friction with the atmosphere, as smoke could be seen rising from it.

Sheyan narrowed his eyes. Everyone waited for a minute or so only to find that there was no movement. Sheyan decided to move towards the capsule. Although the ground was soft and the pit was still hot, Sheyan walked as steadily as if he were walking on flat ground. Every step was planted deep in the soil. He seemed to be on high alert.

The reason Sheyan dared to approach the object was because he had high vitality and could also instantaneously escape with the magical ring from Hogwarts.

As long as the enemy could not kill him in one hit, Sheyan could return a blow and escape right after. Although his speed was not that fast, he could use the dark gold leech to obstruct the enemy. He had a great chance of surviving.

And those who could cause more than 4,000 damage to a contestant with one strike were few and far between even in the nightmare realms, probably existences on the level of Sauron. If even Sheyan died in one hit, the others would probably be killed by the indirect damage from the strike too.

Sheyan moved towards the unidentified flying object gingerly. Of course he was nervous, but he concealed it very well. He calmly suppressed the instinctive fear and panic rising in him.

Upon closer observation, Sheyan found that the thing was not a bomb or something similar, but rather something like a life capsule. He then saw a button. With a light touch of the button, a handle popped out.

The handle was so huge that even a big man like Sheyan found his hand totally out of proportion with the handle. On the handle, his hand looked like the hand of a child. He looked back towards the other humans. The others were secretly in awe of Sheyan’s courage and sense of responsibility. They nodded their heads to show that they were ready.

Although the handle was huge, Sheyan was pretty strong, and he pulled on it heavily. However, the resistance turned out to be minimal. It caught Sheyan off guard; he lost balance and staggered half a step back.

The door of the capsule opened after the handle was pulled, and voices of surprise could be heard behind him. Sheyan’s sight was blocked by the door so he could not immediately see the situation inside, but he instantly fell into a precautionary pose by crossing his arms in front of him. A strong smell of sulphur assaulted his nose.

Sheyan rolled backwards and looked up. His pupils contracted immediately.

The capsule was actually empty!

Of course the Predators would not just throw down an empty life capsule at such time! Sheyan inspected the interior of the life capsule more carefully and immediately noticed some details.

First of all, this life capsule should be custom-made. The colour of the interior was mainly bright red. From the size of the life capsule, the height of the Predator it carried was definitely higher than a normal Predator. It could also be seen from the slots next to the seat that the Predator carried with him many elite weapons.

After landing, the Predator took less than a minute to vanish from the sight of the group of contestants. Within this one minute, the guy had to climb out of the life capsule, tidy up his equipment, and disappear from sight without leaving any traces. Such strength…was frightening to think about.

‘Is this the strongest killer the mothership can dispatch? Does this Predator who likes red really have the strength to kill us all?’
